Per-Ola Karlsson

Senior Director, Strategy& Middle East

Per-Ola Karlsson is a Senior Director with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive practice in the Middle East. He has over 35 years of consulting experience across Europe and the Middle East.

His main areas of expertise include strategy development, organization and operating model design, corporate transformation, governance and leadership. He has advised senior leaders and organizations on complex strategic and organizational transformations, including performance improvement, capability development and operating model redesign.

Per-Ola has extensive experience serving clients across aerospace and defence, aviation, industrials and transportation, as well as financial services, institutional investments, private equity and real estate. His recent work has included support defense and aerospace organizations on corporate and business unit strategy, restructuring, capability development and performance improvement; and working with aviation clients on corporate strategy, cost transformation and organizational design.

Per-Ola has held a number of senior leadership roles within the firm, including Managing Director for Europe and Global Leader of the Organization and Leadership practice. He has also served as a member of World Economic Forum councils focused on the Future of Urbanization and the Arctic.

Per-Ola holds an MBA from INSEAD, an M.S. in systems engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and an M.S. in engineering physics from the Royal Institute of Technology.
