The Strategy& Social Mobility - Insight into Consulting event aims to demystify the world of consulting for university students who have no, or limited, exposure to professional services. Aimed at first and second year university students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, the event will help you understand what strategy consultants do, and how they do it, through a day of hands-on workshops.
You’ll be welcomed to our London office, where you’ll learn what strategy consulting is and why a company might hire a consultant, and get first hand experience of working on a consulting project.
We’ll run through a case study (which simulates aspects of consulting assignments and is often used as a tool in consulting job interviews) and break down possible ways to approach it. There will be many opportunities to ask questions throughout the day, including a networking lunch with our current Associates. After lunch, you’ll work on a short case study in small groups, giving you the opportunity to practice case studies in an open, friendly, and supportive environment.
We’ll also walk you step-by-step through our application process so you are fully prepared for applying to an internship or full-time role with us. Ultimately, the event is designed to be engaging, accessible and provide you with a welcoming space to ask questions and learn more about consulting.
To be eligible for the programme you’ll need to:
