Dr. Thomas Solbach

Dr. Thomas Solbach is a Partner at Strategy& Germany, based in Frankfurt. He also serves as PwC's Global Advisory Pharma and Life Sciences Sector Leader as well as PwC Global Client Partner, and he leads Strategy&'s European pharma and life sciences practice.

In these roles, Thomas advises global pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies on developing game-changing, differentiating strategies and capabilities, as well as on optimizing their operating models. He is a recognized practitioner in precision medicine, patient-centered health ecosystems, innovative diagnostics, and clinically relevant real-world evidence.

A frequent speaker at healthcare conferences, Thomas is the author of numerous thought leadership publications, including the biannual Future of Health study. He also hosts the monthly Strategy& Insider podcast, where he talks to leading industry voices to explore the forces reshaping the healthcare sector.

Before joining Strategy&, Thomas conducted pharmaceutical research in oncology and cardiovascular disease. He studied Molecular Medicine at the University of Erlangen and the University of Oxford and holds a PhD in Health Economics.
