Jochem Moerkerken advises private equity investors and corporate clients on deals strategy, commercial due diligence, value creation, and growth strategy, with a focus on technology, consumers, business services, and waste/energy markets.
Jochem Moerkerken is a partner at Strategy& in the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam, and leads PwC’s Deals Strategy activities in EMEA. He has more than 30 years of strategy consulting experience and has previously worked as a partner at leading international consulting firms.
Jochem supports private equity and corporate clients across the deal lifecycle, from commercial due diligence and vendor due diligence to value creation planning, M&A strategy, commercial strategy, and operating model questions. He has been involved in more than 300 buy-side and sell-side transactions and brings deep experience in assessing market attractiveness, growth potential, competitive positioning, customer dynamics, and value creation opportunities. In addition, he has supported TMT companies around the world in developing go-to-market strategies, setting up distribution channels, and designing and implementing organizational structures.
In TMT and technology, he has advised on IT services, vertical software, AI, marketplaces, auctions, cyber, digital transformation, telecoms, and high-tech manufacturing assets. In the consumers and leisure field, he has worked across retail, cleaning products, travel, tour operators, online travel platforms, holiday parks, and broader consumer goods categories.
Jochem holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, where he graduated cum laude.
