Markus Kussmaul

Markus Kussmaul is a Senior Executive Advisor at Strategy& Germany, advising global executives in the automotive industry. Based in Frankfurt, he is a member of our automotive practice.

His primary focus lies in critical taskforce situations, ramp-ups and operational stabilization, supporting senior executives in navigating complex operational challenges, resolving critical performance issues and rapidly restoring operational stability. He furthermore advises clients on performance improvement, process optimization and simplification, restructuring and organizational transformation.

Markus brings more than 25 years of senior leadership and management experience in the automotive industry, combining hands-on operational leadership with strategic problem-solving and transformation expertise. Prior to joining Strategy&, he was a partner at a boutique consultancy specializing in supply chain management, logistics, operational improvement and digital transformation.

Throughout his career, Markus held senior leadership positions at several leading global automotive suppliers, where he was responsible for international business units and operations across Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Markus studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before completing his studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, where he graduated with a Dipl.-Ingenieur (FH) degree.
