Jens Niebuhr

Jens Niebuhr is a partner at Strategy& Germany, and the leader of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice for Strategy& Europe. Based in Dusseldorf, he advises international clients on corporate transformation and capability development, specifically in the context of digitization and technology change.

Selected project examples include:

• Corporate development of a global champion in the cloud datacenter business including corporate strategy and operating model development as well as go-to-market, portfolio and investment strategy
• Transformation of a leading global software player from an on-premises and license-based operating model towards a cloud- and as-a-service model
• Portfolio strategy development for a global IT and telecoms service provider including cloud and legacy services
• Corporate structure optimization of a leading national telecommunications carrier
• Idea-to-solution process acceleration for a media technology unicorn

Jens Niebuhr has also successfully led several simplification and cost optimization programs in the telecoms and IT industries. He regularly authors and co-authors publications on technology strategy and management.

Prior to joining Strategy&, Jens worked as a software engineer at IBM and as a management consultant at Mummert AG. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and applied computer science from Berlin’s Technical University of Applied sciences, as well as an MBA from London Business School.
