Dr. Birger Steinmeier is a Partner at Strategy& Germany and a member of the industrial products practice, specializing in highly engineered products within the machinery and equipment sector. As co-leader of the supply chain management competence team, he advises medium-sized companies and large enterprises across Europe with a focus on strategic operations transformation, supply chain enhancement and product cost optimization programs.

Birger has more than 10 years of strategy consulting and industry experience. He holds a diploma in mechanical engineering and a PhD from RWTH Aachen University.
