Dr. Markus Weiss

Dr. Markus Weiss is a Director at Strategy& Switzerland. Based in Zurich, he is part of the financial services and technology strategy practices and advises banks and their services providers across Europe.

Markus leads the firm’s European agile transformation offering in financial services and is responsible for Strategy&'s “know-your-customer” and utility platform to transform banks’ target operating model. As a member of the technology strategy practice, he drives IT strategy and large scale transformation programs as well as post-merger integrations across industries.

His key areas of expertise include:

• Agile transformation journeys from strategic board alignment to implementation
• Banks' and service providers' business-/ service-/ operating models design and transformation
• IT strategy and large scale transformation

Markus holds a doctorate from ETH Zurich and degree in computer science form Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Texas in Austin and the M.I.T.
