Max is a Partner with Strategy& in London, focused on B2B and Services, and is a specialist in value creation strategy and deals. Max has consulting and corporate experience, which equips him with both the advisory theory and real world successes and scars to provide insight and advice in a practical and user-friendly way.
With foundations in strategy consulting at Credo and PwC, Max has delivered strategy development and commercial due diligence assignments across a large range of market segments including post/ parcels, distribution & logistics, wholesale markets, facilities management and services to the built environment, BPO, waste & recycling.
Max also spent 7 years as Strategy Director for Connect Group, a London-listed specialist distribution group, where he was responsible for strategy, propositions, planning and end-to-end M&A.
At Connect, Max led a number of acquisitions, investments and disposals to develop the portfolio, enable growth and mitigate the effects of structural decline in the group’s core market, as well as leading strategic reviews of under-performing parts of the group.
Max also worked extensively with group portfolio companies on their business strategy, focused on profitable growth, for example through new services/ markets/ channels, proposition development, pricing, range, margin enhancement, synergies and return on investment, as well as on the organisational structure and capabilities required to deliver strategic change.
