K.B. Clausen is an advisor to executives in the retail and consumer industries for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Based in Cleveland, he is a principal with PwC US.
K.B. specializes in operations strategy and large-scale Fit for Growth* transformation programs. He leads cross-functional programs that seek to fundamentally transform our clients’ cost structures, align costs with market strategy, and build differentiating capabilities needed to drive profitable growth. In addition to the Fit for Growth platform, K.B. has deep expertise in strategic sourcing and supply management.
Some of his recent client assignments include:
- For an agricultural company, led a sourcing transformation which restructured the global procurement function, built critical capabilities, and identified a 3-year pipeline of new category sourcing opportunities
- For a consumer durables company, led an operations transformation to significantly reduce cost and build new capabilities in strategic sourcing, network optimization, and manufacturing technology
- For a CPG company, led a supply chain overhead cost transformation across R&D, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution
- For a CPG company, led a program to build an “integrated margin management” capability to protect and enhance product margins against volatile commodity input costs

A Strategy& alum, K.B. re-joined the firm in 2013 after holding positions as the CEO of Bath Simple, LLC and as a head of global partnership strategy with Google.
K.B. holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he graduated with distinction as an Arjay Miller Scholar.
