Mike Beck is a leading practitioner in enterprise and business unit strategy for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Based in Chicago, he is a Principal with PwC US. A member of the Engineered Products and Services (EPS) team, he focuses on the heavy truck, automotive, and industrials sectors.
Mike brings strategic insight from different markets, businesses, and industry value chains to bear on his client engagements, helping his clients transform their operations for growth and profitability.
He pairs his broad industry perspectives with deep functional expertise in areas such as product portfolio optimization, pricing, manufacturing footprint optimization, and dealer restructuring.

- For an automotive client, assessed revenue management opportunities, including ways to refine consumer and dealer incentives to drive increased volume and profitability
- For a truck client, explored a variety of different purchasing opportunities, assessing aggregate cost reduction potential from different supplier strategies
- For an industrial client, helped to develop a components business strategy aligned with the overall corporate and business unit strategie
A veteran of the consulting industry, Mike initially joined the firm in 1989 as a consultant before leaving in 2002 to run his own firm. He rejoined us as a Senior Executive Advisor in 2006.
Mike holds an AB in Economics from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford.
