Dr. Matthias Witzemann is an advisor to executives in the Energy, Utilities and Resources practice for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. He is a Partner at Strategy& Austria, based in Vienna. Throughout Europe, he advises clients on strategy-driven transformations with more than 18 years of consulting experience.
His primary focus lies on advising clients on their transformation, operations and digitization projects in the energy and utilities sector based on Strategy&’s Capabilities-Driven Strategy + Growth approach. He implements major operational excellence programs across the globe and leads projects across the entire value chain of utility companies in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Prior to joining Strategy&, Matthias had been working at A.T. Kearney. As a partner, Matthias was responsible for account planning and business development of several European utilities. He also was leading partner for projects in the renewables and especially wind sector.
Matthias studied business administration at the University of Mannheim/ Oregon State University and received his PhD in innovation management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
