Trey Alexander is a leading practitioner in trade promotion, marketing, and sales strategies for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Based in Dallas, he is a Principal with PwC US. He is a member of the Digital Business & Technology practice with more than 12 years of consulting experience working with clients in the consumer products, media, energy, and pharmaceuticals industries.
Mr. Alexander specializes in helping clients develop strategies and capabilities that improve trade promotion, marketing and sales efficiency based on the principles of ROI Marketing. Over the years, he has developed both a broad and deep background in Trade Promotion Effectiveness (TPE) from strategy through implementation, including hands on experience with all major TPM and TPO systems. He has led efforts that focused on recovering tangible sales improvements, working directly with account teams to create and sell-in higher performing plans. In addition, Mr. Alexander has led several multi-year TPE capability design and implementation efforts, and has focused both foundational management capabilities and well as advanced optimization capabilities. He is frequently called on by clients to help assess failed trade programs and develop practical guidance for getting the programs back on track.

Mr. Alexander holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Information Strategy from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a BS in Communication and Computer Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Alexander worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for five years prior to joining Strategy& as a summer associate in 1998. He returned as a full-time associate upon completing his MBA coursework in 1999.
Mr. Alexander spends most of his free time with his two young sons. His favorite activities include intense Lego building, Cub Scouts, hanging around the pool and attending what seems like an endless stream of youth soccer games! On the weekends, he can usually be found manning the backyard grill around dinner time.
