Scott D. Van Buskirk is an advisor to executives in the Energy, Chemicals and Utilities industries for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting group. Based in Dallas, and part of the Digital Business and Technology (DBT) team, he is a principal with PwC U.S. He has been working in the management consulting and professional services industry since 1986 and was a Partner for the Global Energy Practice at Accenture for 23 years.
Scott has extensive experience in the delivery of business and information technology transformation programs with particular expertise in major and mid-tier oil and gas, chemicals, utilities, and mining companies.
Some of Scott’s recent client assignments include:
- IT strategy, governance model, delivery model and roadmap for a large mining company, including transformation of core platforms and application portfolio rationalization
- Business and IT alignment strategy for a large downstream and chemicals company
- Supply chain process redesign and implementation of supply chain technology capabilities for a mid-tier downstream company
- Design and implementation of a new IT operating model for mid-tier upstream company
In addition to his experience at Accenture, Scott worked for KPMG, where he was a Principal in the Energy and Natural Resources Practice advising CIOs on their IT technology, organization, operations and business alignment strategies,. He has also worked for HCL Technologies managing the North America Oil and Gas Practice.
Scott holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Baylor University.
