Juan Trebino is an advisor to executives in the Energy, Chemicals and Utilities sector for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Based in Houston, he is a Principal with PwC US. Juan has over 24 years of experience in the global energy, manufacturing, and business services industries in the US, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Juan rejoined Strategy& in November 2010; he had previously spent 7 years leading Booz & Company operational improvement and strategy engagements for major Oil and Gas companies around the globe.
His primary areas of focus include leading business/commodity strategy-based transformation programs, building new organizational commercial capabilities, enhancing governance and risk management processes and structures, improving the effectiveness of trading/commercial operations, improving strategic planning and supply chain processes and controls, and developing performance management programs. His clients include the upstream, downstream and petrochemicals divisions of Super Major Oil & Gas Companies and other European and Latin American energy providers.
Prior to rejoining Strategy&, Juan worked for 5 years at Deloitte performing commercial and risk management strategy, process, and capability improvement programs for major integrated Oil and Gas Companies in North America. He also spent 10 years at British Petroleum’s Crude & Products Pipelines and Chemicals divisions in a number of business development, marketing, operations planning and engineering roles and 2 years at Sempra Energy as a vice president responsible for the development of power co-generation ventures.
Juan holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated at the top of his class. Additionally, he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University.
